Photo session!


It took us some time, but in the end we found out that the sun is going counter-clockwise at south pole! This means  that around midnight is the perfect light for taking pictures at the memorial at the real pole itself. As you can tell from the pics and videos, it was hilarious!
Then there was also time for a moonwalk around the world:

Feeling like the first Emperor Amundsen may sound wired but it is true, a little bit. Being down here, were only a bunch of scientists and  worker come down every year! There are also "tourists" and financiers coming down, of course, of which the former will be numerous this year because of the 100th anniversary of Amundsen's arrival at 90° south.
They build up a presentation tent right now right next to the ceremonial pole. A delegation from Sweden and Norway will be at the Station in about 10 days. And a lot of other adventurers are expected! Looking forward to meet some of these peolpele and hear their stories  and memories...
